Continue to take care of your tattoo by applying a thin layer of a gentle moisturiser or tattoo balm a few times a day, for at least a few weeks. If you need to remove the film earlier than 3 days, use the following method instead.

Things To remember...

1. Your tattoo is an open wound, so treat it as such. Risk of infection is the highest in the first 3 days. The tattoo should be healed within 2 weeks, but won’t fully be settled in your skin for 6 weeks.2. Do not soak the tattoo in a bath, sauna, jacuzzi or go swimming for 2 weeks at least. Showers are fine.3. Depending on the area that has been tattooed, you may need to stop your usual exercise routine for a week or more.4. DO NOT RUB or PICK the treated area while it is healing. Loss of colour and/or infection could occur.5. Extreme sun and exposure over the years can and will fade your tattoo. This can be minimised by using a strong sunscreen, at least SP30.6. Monitor the tattoo for any redness, swelling or throbbing. If you have any symptoms that may be connected to the tattoo, you may need to contact a doctor. Please also let your artist know.
